What have I been up to? Here's the latest stuff!

NOVEMBER 2019:

The Tails at Twilight Gala

Annual fundraising evening event offering a spectacular dinner, specialty wine tastings, renowned chefs, a silent auction with unique items, art, gift certificates and experiences (like weekend-getaways, spa retreats) and support for a wonderful cause. The event is extremely important to the animals that need so much help, support and love.

My donation for the silent auction, "Puzzle Pieces", a Labrador painted with acrylic in an interwoven design of rainbow colors and coated with a high gloss varnish. The necklace and anklet are embellished with silver, nickel and ceramic beads with a turquoise pendant. Both the necklace and the anklet are removable. (15"H x 8"W x 9"L) It was a success and I received an email from winner!

"I just wanted to let you know that I bought this amazing piece at the APS auction last night, and I absolutely love it! There was a pretty fierce bidding war, but I’m so glad I was the winner, because we just adopted a 5 mo old golden/lab cross puppy on Friday, and it seemed fateful that your beautiful depiction of a lab with a golden-like tail would cross my path just a day later :)) It makes me so happy to look at it in our family room, and our 3 dogs have already welcomed Rosie (as we’ve named her) to the pack."

New paintings!!

Yes! I've been fortunate enough to have some time to create two new paintings. Both are owls (one of my favorite subjects) are painted with oil on gallery wrap canvases.

Both are oil paintings, "Ruby" (24" x 24") and "Jacques" (24" x 30") were completed in November. I bought fabulous new oil paints in Malta, and used them in these paintings. It took FOREVER for the paint to dry!!! Thankfully, after three weeks, they decided to cooperate. If you are interested, shoot me an email!

Hot Headz Hair Salon

Even though Hot Headz already has its own commissioned artwork from me, I also have another piece on display - "Luminoso Impasto" (Bull Series) painting (30" x 30", $450). It was part of the exhibition I had in March at the Bull City Gallery. Go by and take a look and let me know if you're interested. (Like all salons, it's closed Sundays and Mondays.)
